In a thrilling Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, the New York Knicks staged another remarkable comeback to defeat the Boston Celtics 91–90, seizing a 2–0 series lead. Trailing by 20 points in the third quarter, the Knicks showcased resilience and clutch performance to stun the defending champions on their home court.
The Knicks' rally was fueled by a dominant fourth quarter, where they outscored the Celtics and overcame a significant deficit. Mikal Bridges was instrumental, scoring all 14 of his points in the final period, including a game-sealing steal from Jayson Tatum in the closing seconds. Josh Hart led the team with 23 points, while Karl-Anthony Towns contributed a double-double with 21 points and 17 rebounds. Jalen Brunson added 17 points and made two crucial free throws with 12.7 seconds remaining to give the Knicks the lead.
The Celtics, who had established a 20-point lead, faltered in the second half. Their offense stalled, going eight minutes without a field goal in the fourth quarter. Boston's three-point shooting woes continued, hitting just 10 of 40 attempts. Jaylen Brown and Derrick White each scored 20 points, but Jayson Tatum was limited to 13 points on 5-of-19 shooting. Kristaps Porziņģis, returning from illness, contributed eight points off the bench.
